Reiki Healing

Sherry Kachanis, one of the owners of the Wiccan Glade is also a practicing Reiki Master/Teacher. She is happy to introduce her services to the Customers and Friends of the Wiccan Glade.

Sherry's belief is that we are able to heal ourselves, Reiki is just one way to help facilitate the healing process. As Westerners, we are not taught that we can heal ourselves, in fact, most of our Doctors prescribe medication for any and in most cases, all of our aches, pains and other woes. What they fail to mention are what the short or long term effects the medication will have on your body. Why not find other forms of treatment? Something more natural, something non-invasive, something that heals you on a mind, body and soul level.

What is Reiki?

Many people have heard of Reiki but don't know or understand what it is. The word Reiki (Ray - key) is a Japanese word derived from 2 words, Rei (Universal) and Ki (Life Energy). It literally means Universal Life Energy. This energy exists all around us.

A Reiki practitioner acts as a vessel in which this universal life energy is channeled into the body. Reiki affects different levels of your being; physical (body), mind/emotions, and spirit (or soul).

As with many alternative healing modalities, it is the client's responsibility to allow the Reiki energy to heal and harmonize them to the deepest level.

Reiki can be performed in-person or long distance.

What to expect when getting a Reiki treatment in-person?

When receiving a Reiki treatment, the Practitioner directs Reiki energy through their hands to the client. This involves placement of the hands over different points of the body. This allows the gentle Reiki energy to flow through. In addition, if a client is experiencing troubles in specific areas, these areas can be visited as well.

A complete treatment lasts anywhere from 30 minutes to 60 minutes.

* Clients relax comfortably on a massage table for the session.

* Relaxing music or sound is played softly in the background.

* Aromatherapy candles may be used to further enhance the relaxing setting.

* Stones and Crystals may be used to enhance the session.

* Clients always remain fully clothed.

At the end of the session, clients are encouraged to take time to fully awaken from their experience. A refreshing glass of water helps in this process.

NOTE: For your first visit, plan on an additional 15 minutes to review and complete required paperwork.

How much does a treatment cost?

30 minutes in-person with Crystals & Stones = $35.00
60 minutes in-person with Crystals & Stones = $65.00

Long distance: 30 minutes $30.00; 60 minutes $60.00 Note: A photo & full name of the person seeking treatment is required, before the Reiki treatment can commence. In addition, Sherry will need to contact you with questions and to have required paperwork completed.

It is recommended that a commitment to 3 to 4 sessions in order to receive maximum benefits and progress possible.

How do I schedule an appointment?

Order your session online.

For long distance treatments, a photo and full name must be provided to Sherry before the session takes place. Why? So Sherry can focus the Reiki energy to the person requesting the Reiki treatment. In addition, Sherry will contact you by email with questions and paperwork that needs to be completed. Once the photo and paperwork are received, you will be contacted once the treatment is complete.

If you are in the New England area, or visiting Rhode Island, you may wish to experience Reiki in person. Offices are convenienly located in Greenville, RI. You may order your session online, after which you will be contacted by phone to schedule an appointment.
